GRIPS Architecture – Semantic Single Source Content Management

GRIPS follows an innovative semantic content management approach: information is structured and organized based on its type, its relation to object or product components, its variants and its language.

This information is not only interpretable and processable by people but also by processes and machines. The degree of automation and reusability of the information, including its translations, increases, costs decrease and processes are accelerated. All publications (such as user and service documentation) can be automatically generated and prepared for all channels, media and business systems. This works both from producer to customer as well as in reverse through feedback mechanisms.

Example: To help technicians carry out installation and maintenance work with smart glasses or augmented reality apps in the future, GRIPS can manage 3D models for your products as well as information on spatial orientation (angle, rotation, etc.). This allows the glasses to display assembly instructions in the exact right location in the operator’s field of vision.
