How to Engage Global Customers in the Localization Process

Successful localization processes are not based only on sophisticated tool support, but also on efficient interaction between the participants. However, the tool-supported process should offer standardization and also allow for individual configuration. After identifying the process steps with a potential need for interaction, we will deal with active global customer participation in this session. Beginning with the relevant information exchange at the start of a localization job process, we will then focus on quality assurance — how can the customer’s in-country reviewers, with market but without tool know-how, participate in checking the localized texts within the process?

Takeaways: The attendees will learn to identify the localization process steps with need for interaction between process participants; and they will become aware of how to integrate in-country reviewers into the quality assurance process without harassing them with localization tool knowledge and without having to copy their input manually.
