STAR UK celebrates its 10th anniversary
On November 1st 2007 STAR UK marked ten years of trading. From humble beginnings in Leatherhead, our Woking offices now house a 14-strong team of translators and project managers. Our core language combinations remain French and German into English but we can now also supply Spanish, Italian, Danish and even Chinese in-house.
To celebrate this auspicious occasion, the whole office spent the day at the beautiful Lingfield Park racecourse. A day of wining, dining and (moderate) gambling ensued and a fine time was had by all.

STAR UK under new management
STAR UK has a new management team as of August 1st 2007. Martina Stolz has arrived from Switzerland after three years as a project manager in STAR AG. Steve Smith brings with him ten years of experience in the subtitling industry. The previous management team have remained within the STAR Group - Barbara Otto has returned to Switzerland to be the RFQ manager and Sabina Varga has set up a new STAR office in Brussels.
