Setting up projects

Transit assists the translator and project manager with managing translation projects. A wizard provides step-by-step guidance through the project setup and creation procedure and assists with entering all required information.

Transit project management functions:

• Set up projects with help and guidance from wizards

• Create project templates

• Create new projects with settings from an existing project (follow-up projects)

• Use entire projects as reference material (with translated language and reference files)

• Make projects accessible only by certain users or user groups (e.g., departments)

• Categorize projects by client and organize them clearly

• Manage translation projects with multiple target languages and dictionaries

• Assign meaningful working names to language files without overwriting the original names

• Freely define tags and fonts

• Freely define segmentation rules and file types

• Select segmentation (sentence, paragraph, etc.)

• Interactively edit the abbreviation list when importing files (list of segmentation exceptions)

• Check segmentation after importing

• Prioritize reference material for each project

• Define the number and priority of dictionaries to be used simultaneously for a project

• Evaluate projects with the report manager
