Setting up projects
Transit assists the translator and project manager with managing translation projects. A wizard provides step-by-step guidance through the project setup and creation procedure and assists with entering all required information.
Transit project management functions:
Set up projects with help and guidance from wizards
Create project templates
Create new projects with settings from an existing project (follow-up projects)
Use entire projects as reference material (with translated language and reference files)
Make projects accessible only by certain users or user groups (e.g., departments)
Categorize projects by client and organize them clearly
Manage translation projects with multiple target languages and dictionaries
Assign meaningful working names to language files without overwriting the original names
Freely define tags and fonts
Freely define segmentation rules and file types
Select segmentation (sentence, paragraph, etc.)
Interactively edit the abbreviation list when importing files (list of segmentation exceptions)
Check segmentation after importing
Prioritize reference material for each project
Define the number and priority of dictionaries to be used simultaneously for a project
Evaluate projects with the report manager
