XML Postman – keeping the system running.

The XML Postman activates the service by delivering to it a copy of the Job Ticket. Once the process step is completed and the results are determined, the XML Postman updates the original Job Ticket accordingly and delivers another copy to the next service.

DB Actualizer – guaranteeing the currentness and transparency of the project status.

Once a task is completed, the DB Actualizer (DB = database) receives a Job Ticket from the XML Postman. It ensures that the database, which contains only information regarding the project status and supplier, is always up-to-date. The results are made available to the project manager within the Project Manager Portal.

Error Handler – the error detection and correction function.

If the results of the execution of an action are negative, the information is transmitted to the Error Handler, which corrects the source of the error in accordance with predefined process instructions. If the error is successfully corrected, a notification of success is sent to the XML Postman. If not, a corresponding error message is issued. The project manager then has the option of intervening manually.

Deadline Controller – continuous time window monitoring.

The Deadline Controller receives all the information that is sent to a service. It uses this information to monitor the timely execution of planned procedures. If a process step is not completed in time, the Deadline Controller issues a message. STAR James informs project managers (via e-mail, text message, notification window or other configuration) whenever an error arises or a task is delayed.

Project Manager Portal – global teamwork.

Projects are controlled and monitored via a web portal. The portal allows for optimal team-based project completion by making project-relevant information available to anyone, anytime, anywhere. Access rights can be individually defined.

Watchdog – reliable system monitoring

Watchdog is a monitoring program that periodically sends verification requests to the system. Through continuous querying, errors can be detected early and project managers can be alerted in time. This routine can also be conducted on an external system, allowing process functionality to be viewed from the outside.
