In realizing its corporate goals, the STAR group
follows three principles:
The consistent separation of information into structure, content and form
Content and content structure are consistently separated from their different output structures and formats. The result is redundancy-free storage and processing regardless of future use. This promotes the leveraging of information and allows fully automated output of content in all languages on all media.
The STAR Delta Principle: Only the difference is new!
At STAR, we focus on what is new. We therefore track deltas (changes) that occur in the different phases of information production (development, product configuration, preparation of product information). This avoids error-prone repetition and redundant data storage. The important significance of this principle in the overall information process is illustrated by the Greek letter delta Δ in the STAR corporate logo.
Maximizing employee potential
By incorporating automated standard procedures into the overall product information process, project participants are relieved of monotonous, time-consuming routine tasks. Not only does this provide significant cost savings while improving quality, it also grants participating staff greater freedom for creativity while increasing motivation.
